The Holidays with The Mossmans

Winter has arrived. Salida is buzzing with holiday shoppers and skiers. We went out to Bear Creek last week and hiked around in the snow in search of the perfect Christmas tree. Luckily, we found one that actually fit in the house.
Andrea has been crafting away in her workshop making some wonderful gifts for our friends and family.Today, I was fortunate enough to strap on my teles and make a few turns up at Monarch. The snow is incredible. Geno's Meadows is creamy, watchout for rocks on Shagnasty though. It was still snowing when I left. the skiing should be great this week.
If you are in the neighborhood celebrate New Years by watching the Parade of lights on Monarch Mountain beginning at dusk. After the light show head down to Monarch Mountain Lodge to listen to the Groove Farmers (George's band). Party kicks off at 9:00 P.M. dance in the New Year at 10,000 feet. For more details contact George at 719-221-9496.We are looking forward to 2009, and hope everybody is enjoying the holidays as much as we are.
